The Hobbywing QUICRUN Fusion Pro 2300KV combines a brushless crawler motor and electronic speed controller inside one compact 540-spec power unit. ESC and Motor Integrated into One Power Unit
The Fusion Pro places the ESC electronics inside the motor assembly. This removes the separate ESC case normally installed elsewhere in the chassis and eliminates the three external phase wires that would otherwise run between the motor and controller.
The integrated layout can provide three practical benefits for a scale crawler:
- Less chassis space is occupied by the power system.
- Wiring is cleaner and easier to route.
- More room may remain for an interior, receiver box, lighting controller or scale accessories.
At 58mm long, the Fusion Pro is 6mm shorter than the earlier 64mm Fusion layout shown in the product comparison material. Confirm that your chassis can accept the 37mm motor diameter, the 58mm body length and the position of the integrated power wires and switch lead.
Compact 58mm All-in-One Design
A conventional crawler power system requires a motor, separate ESC, motor wires and additional mounting space. The Fusion Pro packages those primary components into a 37 × 58mm cylindrical assembly weighing 209g with wires and connector.
The compact design does not mean it is a direct fit for every 540 motor mount. Check available motor clearance around the transmission, links, skid plate, battery tray and interior. The integrated ESC also means the entire motor body must receive enough airflow and should not be wrapped tightly in foam or enclosed without ventilation.
FOC Control for Smooth Extreme-Low-Speed Crawling
FOC, or field-oriented control, manages motor output in a way that is particularly useful at very low crawler speeds. The objective is not simply to spin the motor slowly, but to maintain useful torque and smooth response as the drivetrain begins moving under load.
This helps when easing a tire onto a ledge, controlling wheel movement across loose rock or maintaining a slow approach without repeatedly pulsing the throttle. The sine-wave driving method also contributes to quieter, softer motor operation than a conventional hard-switching brushless setup.
The system is still affected by vehicle gearing, total weight, tire size, drivetrain friction and battery condition. FOC control cannot compensate for gearing that is excessively tall or a drivetrain that is binding.
RPM Matching and Intelligent Torque Output
The Fusion Pro includes an RPM Matching running mode that uses speed closed-loop control. When terrain resistance increases, the system automatically adjusts motor torque to help maintain a speed that corresponds more closely to the transmitter input.
For example, when a crawler transitions from level ground onto a steep rock face, a conventional system may slow significantly unless the driver adds throttle. In RPM Matching mode, the Fusion Pro can increase torque automatically as load increases, creating a cruise-control-like driving feel.
This mode also supports controlled low-speed descents. When the vehicle begins moving downhill, the closed-loop system helps regulate motor speed instead of allowing the crawler to accelerate freely under gravity.
Important: automatic torque compensation and speed closed-loop control apply to the RPM Matching mode. The two Normal modes behave more like conventional brushed or sensored brushless systems and do not automatically maintain the selected speed.

Adjustable Drag Brake for Strong Slope Holding
Drag brake applies motor braking when the throttle returns to neutral. The Fusion Pro separates drag-brake tuning into two parameters so the driver can adjust both the final holding strength and how quickly that strength is applied.
Nine choices are available: Disabled plus Levels 1–8. Higher levels provide stronger neutral-position holding force.
Levels 1–9 control how quickly the selected drag-brake force rises from zero to its target value.
A strong force with a moderate rate can help hold a crawler on a steep incline without applying the brake too abruptly. An excessively aggressive setting may make a lightweight crawler stop suddenly or disturb traction on loose surfaces.
Efficient, Quiet Sine-Wave Drive
The FOC system uses sine-wave motor control to improve smoothness and reduce unnecessary noise during low-speed operation. Higher system efficiency can also reduce wasted energy and heat compared with a poorly matched conventional power system.
Actual runtime depends on battery capacity, vehicle weight, terrain, gearing, drag-brake settings, servo load and driving style. The efficient drive system can support longer usable runtime, but it does not create a fixed runtime increase for every vehicle.
6V / 7.4V Adjustable 6A BEC
The integrated switch-mode BEC supplies receiver and steering-servo power without requiring a separate external BEC in a normal installation. Continuous output is rated at 6A, providing useful current capacity for high-torque crawler steering servos.

Voltage warning: never select 7.4V when using a standard-voltage receiver or servo.
Power-input note: the supplied product specification sheet states that 3S LiPo should be used when 7.4V BEC output is required.
Do not supply the receiver with a second power source while the ESC’s red receiver wire remains connected. When an external receiver-power system is required, the red wire from the ESC throttle plug must be removed and insulated correctly.
IP67 Protection for Mud, Dust and Wet Terrain
The entire Fusion Pro power system carries an IP67 protection rating. This allows the integrated motor and ESC to operate in the wet, muddy and dusty conditions commonly encountered by trail trucks and rock crawlers.
The sealed design is intended for terrain that may include mud, sand, snow, shallow water and wet rock. Water resistance should not be treated as permission for unnecessary prolonged submersion. Clean and dry the vehicle after wet or muddy use, and inspect the wires and switch housing for damage.
Protected Electronic Power Switch
The separate electronic switch includes the power button, status LED and independent programming interface. Its protected housing is designed to resist the dust, dirt, moisture and impact that can cause problems for conventional exposed mechanical switches.
Short-press the button to power the system on. Long-press the button to switch the system off. Always disconnect the battery after use because the power system continues to draw a small standby current while the battery remains connected.

Battery Cutoff Values
The Low, Medium and High cutoff settings correspond to approximately 3.0V, 3.25V and 3.5V per LiPo cell. When the voltage falls below the selected threshold, output is gradually reduced to approximately 50%, followed by a complete output shutdown after about 30 seconds.
For NiMH batteries, cutoff protection may be set to Disabled. Do not disable low-voltage protection when using LiPo batteries unless another reliable protection method is in place.
RPM Decrease Rate
RPM Decrease Rate applies only to the Normal running modes. Lower settings allow motor speed to fall more gradually when the throttle is reduced, creating a more natural coasting feel. Higher settings produce a faster reduction in motor speed.
Punch
Higher Punch settings produce a faster throttle response. An aggressive value can cause tire slip, high starting current and additional stress on the battery, drivetrain and power system. Begin with a moderate setting and increase it only when traction and drivetrain strength allow.
Programming with the Hobbywing LED Program Box
The Fusion Pro uses a dedicated three-pin programming interface integrated into the electronic switch. Parameters are adjusted with a compatible Hobbywing LED Program Box, sold separately.
- Switch the Fusion Pro off.
- Connect the LED Program Box to the three-pin programming port using a JR-type cable, observing the correct polarity.
- Switch the Fusion Pro on and wait for the parameter values to appear.
- Use the ITEM and VALUE buttons to select and change settings.
- Press OK to save the new values to the power system.
The switch button is used for power control, throttle calibration and optional motor pairing. Full parameter programming is performed with the LED Program Box.
Integrated Protection Functions
Reduces and then stops motor output when the battery reaches the selected cutoff threshold.
Stops output when the ESC reaches the selected temperature threshold and restores operation after cooling.
Stops normal motor operation when the ESC no longer receives a valid throttle signal.
Helps protect the integrated power system when the drivetrain or motor is unable to rotate normally.
Protection features reduce risk but cannot correct unsuitable gearing, excessive vehicle weight, drivetrain binding, reverse battery polarity or incorrect wiring.
Throttle Range Calibration
Calibrate the throttle range before the first use, after changing the transmitter or receiver, or after altering throttle-channel TRIM, D/R, EPA or ATL settings.
- Turn on the transmitter. Set throttle-channel D/R, EPA and ATL to 100%, then set throttle TRIM to zero or its center position.
- With the Fusion Pro switched off, press and hold the power button.
- Release the button as soon as the red switch LED begins flashing. Do not continue holding it for eight seconds.
- Leave the trigger at neutral and press the button once. The green LED flashes once and the motor beeps once.
- Move the trigger to full forward and press the button. The green LED flashes twice and the motor beeps twice.
- Move the trigger to full reverse and press the button. The green LED flashes three times and the motor beeps three times.
Safety warning: remove the pinion gear before calibration or parameter setup, or keep all driven wheels securely suspended. The Fusion Pro is a powerful system and unexpected motor movement can cause injury or damage.
Optional Automatic Motor Pairing
Automatic motor pairing is not required during normal installation. It may be used if the motor has suffered a severe impact or if abnormal heating or unusual power output appears during operation.
- Connect the battery.
- Press and hold the power button.
- The switch LED first flashes red and changes to flashing green after approximately eight seconds.
- Release the button when the green LED begins flashing.
- The system completes the pairing process and restarts after approximately five seconds.
Investigate the drivetrain, gearing, bearings and wiring before using pairing as a response to repeated overheating or abnormal performance.
LED Status Guide
- Normal startup: red LED remains on after the system starts.
- Battery detection: green LED flashes according to the detected LiPo cell count.
- Rapid red flashing: no throttle signal is detected or the throttle neutral position does not match the transmitter.
- Forward or reverse operation: green LED flashes and becomes solid at the corresponding full-throttle endpoint.
- Repeating single red flash: low-voltage protection has been activated.
- Repeating single green flash: thermal protection has been activated.

Important Installation and Use Notes
- Read the complete user manual before installation.
- Confirm that the drivetrain, gearing and vehicle weight are appropriate for the power system.
- Remove the pinion gear or suspend all driven wheels before calibration.
- Always connect positive to positive and negative to negative. Reverse polarity can permanently damage the system and is not covered by warranty.
- Do not power the receiver from an additional source while the Fusion Pro BEC red wire remains connected.
