High-Capacity 6S Power for Large RC Systems

The CNHL Racing Series 6200mAh 6S 90C LiPo is positioned between lighter 5000–5200mAh performance packs and much larger maximum-runtime batteries. Its 6200mAh capacity provides additional energy without moving into an extreme-capacity format.

For surface vehicles, this means longer practice sessions and more sustained running between battery changes. For aircraft, the extra capacity can provide more usable flight time when the airframe is designed to carry the additional mass.

The 90C continuous rating and 10AWG wires support high-current brushless systems, while the EC5 connector suits many large-scale RC applications and is physically compatible with IC5 main power connections.

Why Choose This Battery?

  • 6200mAh capacity: More energy reserve than typical 5000–5200mAh 6S packs.
  • 90C continuous output: Designed for demanding acceleration and sustained brushless loads.
  • Single-pack 6S convenience: One 6S battery can simplify installation compared with a dual-3S series setup.
  • EC5 connection: Connects directly to EC5 systems and physically compatible IC5 main power interfaces.
  • 10AWG output wires: Supports high-current RC car and aircraft installations.
  • Balanced capacity class: Provides more runtime without moving all the way to very large 8000–9500mAh packs.

A Strong 6S Battery Option for ARRMA MOJAVE 6S V3 & EXB

The CNHL Racing Series 6200mAh 22.2V 6S 90C is a strong battery direction for the ARRMA MOJAVE 6S V3 and MOJAVE 6S EXB RTR when the battery dimensions, installed weight and wire clearance suit the specific setup.

The MOJAVE already delivers substantial performance on stock 6S power, so this pack is better viewed as a balance of runtime, sustained voltage and single-pack convenience rather than simply a way to chase the largest possible battery.

Using one 6S pack also reduces the amount of battery wiring compared with two 3S packs in series. There is only one battery to secure, one balance lead to manage and one main battery connection.

The battery uses EC5, which is physically compatible with an IC5 main power connection. Standard EC5 provides normal positive and negative power but does not provide Spektrum Smart battery identification or telemetry.

For more single-6S and dual-3S options selected around the current MOJAVE platform, explore the ARRMA MOJAVE 6S Battery Collection.

6200mAh 6S Battery for the Eflite Eratix 3D SWS 1.6m

The 6200mAh Racing Series pack also falls within the large-capacity end of the battery class used by the Eflite Eratix 3D SWS 1.6m.

For this type of large aerobatic aircraft, a 6200mAh pack favors flight duration, sustained power and energy reserve rather than minimum flying weight. Pilots focused on aggressive XA and the lightest possible feel may prefer a smaller pack, while pilots who want longer sequences and fewer battery changes may prefer the additional capacity.

The approximately 902g battery mass means battery position and center of gravity must be checked carefully before flight. Secure the pack firmly and make sure the power leads cannot move into the motor, linkage or cooling airflow.

Compare other capacity and weight options in the Eflite Eratix 3D SWS 1.6m battery collection.

Choosing a Battery for the Freewing A-10 V3

The Freewing A-10 Thunderbolt II V3 Twin 64mm EDF is more sensitive to battery weight and center of gravity than a large surface vehicle, so battery selection should not be based on capacity alone.

Although this CNHL pack is a 6S battery, the 6200mAh capacity and approximately 902g weight place it above the lighter battery class typically favored by compact twin-EDF aircraft. A larger battery is not automatically an upgrade if the added weight reduces acceleration, landing performance or CG flexibility.

If you are setting up the aircraft, compare batteries selected specifically around its battery range and physical layout in the Freewing A-10 V3 battery collection.

Large 6S RC Cars, Trucks and Monster Trucks

This battery is primarily relevant to large RC vehicles designed for a full 6S power system. Its 6200mAh capacity suits bashers, speed-oriented vehicles and large trucks where runtime and sustained output matter more than minimum battery weight.

Browse more compatible packs for large-scale trucks in the monster truck battery collection.

Do not assume compatibility based only on vehicle scale. Many 1/10 vehicles operate on 2S, 3S or 4S rather than 6S. Always confirm the specific ESC voltage limit, battery tray dimensions, connector and chassis design.

Single 6S Pack vs. Dual 3S Batteries

Setup Single 6S Pack Two Matching 3S Packs in Series
Nominal Voltage 22.2V 22.2V combined
Battery Management One battery and one balance lead Two packs to charge, match and secure
Wiring Simpler installation Requires series wiring or dual-input ESC arrangement
Flexibility Best for dedicated 6S use 3S packs can also be reused individually in other models

Neither configuration is automatically better. A single 6S pack favors simplicity, while dual 3S can provide more flexibility for users who already own matched 3S batteries.

EC5 and IC5 Connector Compatibility

EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible at the main power interface. This battery can connect to a corresponding IC5 device-side connector and provide normal positive and negative power.

This CNHL battery is not a Spektrum Smart battery. It does not provide automatic battery identification, Smart charging settings or telemetry through the additional IC5 data contact.

XT60, XT90, EC3, IC3, T/Dean, TRX and other connector systems do not plug directly into EC5. Use a correctly rated adapter or professional connector conversion where required.

More 6S Battery Options

If 6200mAh is larger or heavier than your model needs, the CNHL G+Plus 6000mAh 22.2V 6S 70C LiPo Battery with EC5 provides a slightly lower-capacity alternative.

For a more noticeable reduction in capacity and installed mass while retaining a 90C Racing Series specification, compare the CNHL Racing Series 5200mAh 22.2V 6S 90C LiPo Battery with EC5.

Models using an XT90 connection can be paired with the CNHL G+Plus 5000mAh 22.2V 6S 70C LiPo Battery with XT90 when its specifications suit the model.

For very large battery compartments where maximum runtime is the priority, compare the CNHL Racing Series 9500mAh 22.2V 6S 90C LiPo Battery with EC5.

FAQ

Is this a standard LiPo or LiHV battery?

This is a standard 6S LiPo battery. Its nominal voltage is 22.2V, and its maximum balanced charge voltage is 25.2V, or 4.20V per cell.

Is 6200mAh suitable for the ARRMA MOJAVE 6S?

It can be a strong option when the battery dimensions, installed weight and cable routing work with the specific MOJAVE configuration. Confirm physical clearance and secure the softcase pack correctly before driving.

Can I use this battery in the Eflite Eratix 3D SWS 1.6m?

Yes, when the aircraft battery bay and center-of-gravity setup accommodate the 6200mAh capacity and approximately 902g weight. This capacity favors longer flight time over the lightest possible 3D setup.

Is this the best battery for the Freewing A-10 V3?

Not necessarily. The A-10 is more sensitive to battery mass and CG than a large surface vehicle. Use the model-specific battery collection to compare lighter 6S options selected around the aircraft's battery range.

Is EC5 compatible with IC5?

Yes. EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible for the main power connection. This battery does not provide Spektrum Smart battery data.

Is one 6S pack better than two 3S packs?

A single 6S battery offers simpler wiring and charging management. Two matching 3S batteries provide more flexibility because each pack can also be used independently in compatible 3S vehicles.

Can this battery be used in any 1/8 RC vehicle?

No. Scale alone does not determine compatibility. The model must support 6S voltage and accept the 162 × 57 × 47mm dimensions, approximately 902g weight and EC5 connection.

Should this battery always be charged at 5C?

No. The 5C specification is the maximum charge rate, not the required everyday rate. A lower balanced charge rate generally produces less heat and places less stress on the battery.
