Quick Fit Check
The CNHL Racing Series 8000mAh 7.4V 2S2P 120C Hardcase LiPo Battery with EC5 Plug is a high-capacity, full-length 2S battery for RC cars, trucks, crawlers and marine setups that can accommodate its 139mm hardcase format.
Its 8000mAh capacity is designed for users who prioritize longer running time and sustained energy reserve over the lower weight of a smaller-capacity pack. The 120C continuous rating, 10AWG wires and EC5 connector also make it suitable for demanding brushless systems when the battery tray, voltage and connector all match.
Before ordering, confirm the complete battery dimensions, approximately 318g weight, EC5 connection and the maximum battery size supported by your vehicle or boat.

High-Capacity 2S Power in a Standard Hardcase Format
The CNHL Racing Series 8000mAh 2S 120C hardcase LiPo is built for users who want maximum practical capacity from a conventional full-length 2S battery format.
Its 139 × 47 × 25mm case follows the common rectangular layout used by many 1/10-scale RC platforms. Unlike a shorty pack, this battery occupies the full battery tray length and distributes its 318g mass across a long, low-profile hardcase.
The 8000mAh capacity provides substantially more energy than common 5000–6000mAh 2S packs. This can extend practice sessions, trail runs and open-area driving, although actual runtime still depends on the motor, gearing, vehicle weight, terrain, tire load and throttle use.
Why Choose This Battery?
-
8000mAh capacity: Designed for longer running time and fewer battery changes during extended sessions.
-
120C discharge rating: Supports hard acceleration and demanding brushless systems when properly matched.
-
Full-length 2S hardcase: Fits compatible battery trays designed around the common 139mm rectangular format.
-
Low-profile 25mm height: Maintains a relatively low battery position inside compatible RC chassis.
-
EC5 connector: Connects directly to EC5 systems and physically compatible IC5 main power connections.
-
10AWG output wires: Suitable for high-current surface and marine installations.
More Capacity Without a Larger Battery Footprint
This 8000mAh battery shares the same general 139 × 47 × 25mm full-length case format used by many lower-capacity 2S hardcase packs. Its main advantage is therefore not a different installation shape, but the amount of energy stored within that familiar footprint.

The higher-capacity pack is not automatically the best option for every chassis. Drivers focused on minimum weight or very rapid direction changes may prefer a smaller battery, while users focused on runtime and energy reserve may benefit from the 8000mAh configuration.
High-Capacity 2S Battery for the Pro Boat Blackjack 24 V2
The CNHL Racing Series 8000mAh 7.4V 2S 120C hardcase LiPo is a high-capacity option for the Pro Boat Blackjack 24 V2 brushless catamaran.
The boat uses two identical 2S batteries connected in series to create its 4S power system. Two matched CNHL packs produce a 14.8V nominal, 8000mAh setup with a fully charged voltage of 16.8V.
The EC5 battery plugs are physically compatible with the boat’s IC5 main power connections, so no adapter is required for normal positive and negative power delivery. These are conventional EC5 batteries and do not provide Spektrum Smart battery data.
Two batteries have a combined approximate weight of 636g. The 8000mAh setup is therefore best suited to owners who prioritize longer open-water sessions and sustained energy reserve over the lighter handling response of smaller-capacity packs.
Use two batteries of the same model, age, condition and charge level. Secure both packs firmly and check hull balance, battery position and cooling before the first full-power run.

Connecting two batteries in series doubles the voltage but does not double the capacity. Two 8000mAh batteries connected in series form a 4S 8000mAh system, not a 16000mAh system.
Compatible RC Car and Truck Applications
1/10 Short Course Trucks
The battery can suit compatible 1/10 short course trucks that accept a 139mm full-length hardcase and are designed for 2S operation. The 8000mAh capacity is especially useful for extended practice sessions and general recreational driving.
Models such as the Traxxas Slash may require an appropriately rated EC5-to-TRX adapter or connector conversion. Always confirm the specific vehicle version, battery hold-down and connector before use.
1/10 Trucks and Monster Trucks
Compatible 2S brushless trucks can benefit from the combination of high capacity and 120C output. Confirm that the battery tray supports the 139 × 47 × 25mm dimensions and approximately 318g installed weight.
RC Crawlers and Trail Trucks
The 8000mAh capacity can provide long trail sessions in compatible 2S crawlers such as selected Axial SCX10 configurations. The full-length hardcase is best suited to chassis with enough tray space and secure battery retention.
Many crawler platforms do not use EC5 as the stock connection, so an adapter or connector conversion may be required.
1/10 Competition and Club Vehicles
The battery may fit full-length 2S hardcase trays used by compatible short course, touring, drag and club-racing vehicles. Because its 318g mass is higher than many competition packs, confirm class weight limits and handling priorities before selecting it for racing.
EC5 and IC5 Connector Compatibility
EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible at the main power interface. This battery can connect to a corresponding IC5 device-side connector and provide normal positive and negative power without an adapter.
This is not a Spektrum Smart battery. It does not provide automatic battery identification, Smart charging settings or battery telemetry through the additional IC5 data contact.
XT60, XT90, EC3, IC3, T/Dean, TRX and other connector systems do not plug directly into EC5. Use a correctly rated adapter or professional connector conversion when required.

FAQ
Is this a standard LiPo or LiHV battery?
This is a standard 2S LiPo battery. Its nominal voltage is 7.4V, and its maximum balanced charge voltage is 8.4V, or 4.20V per cell.
Is this a shorty battery?
No. This is a full-length 2S hardcase battery measuring 139 × 47 × 25mm. It is intended for compatible standard-length battery trays.
Does it fit the Pro Boat Blackjack 24 V2?
Use two matched batteries for the Blackjack 24 V2 dual-2S series system. The EC5 plugs are physically compatible with the boat’s IC5 main power connections. Confirm both battery trays and secure both packs correctly.
Do two 8000mAh packs become 16000mAh in the boat?
No. Two 2S batteries connected in series form a 4S 8000mAh system. Series wiring increases voltage while capacity remains 8000mAh.
Is EC5 compatible with IC5?
Yes. EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible for the main power connection. This battery does not provide Spektrum Smart battery data.
Can it connect directly to a Traxxas Slash?
Only if the vehicle has been converted to EC5. A stock TRX-equipped Slash requires a correctly rated EC5-to-TRX adapter or professional connector conversion.
Is 8000mAh always better than a lighter battery?
No. The 8000mAh pack favors runtime and energy reserve. A smaller battery may provide lower vehicle weight and faster directional response. The better choice depends on the chassis and driving priorities.
Should this battery always be charged at 5C?
No. The 5C specification is the maximum charge rate, not the required routine rate. A lower balanced charge rate generally creates less heat and places less stress on the cells.
Notice
- This is a standard 2S LiPo battery with a maximum charge voltage of 4.20V per cell.
- Use a compatible LiPo balance charger and select the correct two-cell setting.
- Confirm the 139 × 47 × 25mm dimensions, approximately 318g weight and EC5 connector before use.
- When using two packs in series, use batteries of the same model, age, condition and charge level.
- EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible for main power, but this battery does not provide Spektrum Smart data.
- Secure the hardcase battery firmly and keep the wires clear of gears, shafts, tires and sharp chassis edges.
- Never charge unattended, and do not use a swollen, cracked, punctured or overheated battery.
- Allow the battery to cool before recharging and use storage mode when it will not be used for an extended period.
