Intelligent Freewheeling for Greater Efficiency
The QUICRUN WP 10BL120 G2 uses intelligent freewheeling technology to improve electrical efficiency during partial-throttle operation. Reducing unnecessary electrical loss helps the ESC operate at a lower temperature and maintain more consistent performance during longer driving sessions.
Freewheeling technology does not correct an overloaded power system. Motor KV, gearing, tire diameter, vehicle weight, drivetrain resistance, battery voltage and driving style must still be matched correctly.

Powerful 6V/7.4V Switch-Mode BEC
The built-in BEC provides 5A continuous output and up to 10A instantaneous current. Its output voltage can be switched between 6V and 7.4V to support different steering-servo and receiver requirements.
Use for standard-voltage receivers, steering servos and accessories that are not rated for direct 7.4V input.
Use only when every receiver-powered component supports high-voltage operation.
Important for 2S users: when the ESC is powered by a 2S LiPo and the BEC is set to 7.4V, the BEC cannot maintain a stable full 7.4V output. Hobbywing recommends using the 7.4V setting with 3S LiPo or above.
Never set the BEC voltage above the maximum operating voltage of the receiver, steering servo or connected accessories.
Efficient Cooling System
The ESC combines an integrated heat-sink structure, an internal copper thermal path and a 25 × 25 × 10mm cooling fan. Heat is conducted from the internal power board toward the external radiator, while the fan provides active airflow over the assembly.
The fan is powered by the built-in BEC and supports a 5-7.4V operating range. Keep the fan clear of receiver wires, body panels and debris, and inspect it after use in sandy or muddy environments.
Fan cooling improves heat management, but it does not make an overloaded motor or gearing combination safe. Repeated thermal protection means the vehicle load, gearing or motor selection should be reviewed.
Capacitor Thermal Protection
The QUICRUN WP 10BL120 G2 includes capacitor thermal protection in addition to battery low-voltage, ESC overheat, throttle-signal-loss and current protection.
If excessive capacitor temperature is detected, the ESC enters protection and indicates the condition with a repeating five-flash green LED sequence. Stop the vehicle, allow the system to cool and inspect the battery, gearing, motor load, wiring and fan operation before continuing.
Protection is an emergency safeguard rather than a substitute for correct setup. Repeated activation indicates that the electrical or thermal load should be reduced.
Built-In 1640µF Capacitor
The supplied product material identifies a built-in capacitor capacity of up to 1640µF. Integrating the capacitors into the ESC housing simplifies installation and reduces the number of separate components that must be positioned on a typical 1/10 chassis.
This should not be interpreted as permission to use excessively long battery wires or an unsupported electrical layout. Keep the battery leads close to the original length and follow the installation limits in the manual.
IP67-Rated Protection
The sealed ESC design carries an IP67 protection rating under normal operating conditions. It is designed to resist common RC exposure involving rain, splashes, mud, dust and sand.
IP67 does not mean the ESC should remain underwater. Do not intentionally submerge it for extended periods. After wet or muddy use, disconnect the battery, remove debris and allow the electronics to dry completely before storage.
Water and dust resistance are not permanent. Impact damage, worn seals, damaged wires and normal aging can reduce protection over time. The cooling fan also requires inspection and cleaning after dirty use.
Independent Programming Port
A compatible program box connects to the ESC through its independent programming port. The receiver throttle cable can remain connected while the ESC parameters are being changed.
The LED Program Box, discontinued LCD G2 Program Box and current LCD Program Box Pro are listed as supported programming tools. OTA programming, WiFi Express programming and online firmware updating are not supported.
