Quick Fit Check
The CNHL Lightning LiHV 4500mAh 22.8V 6S 120C HV LiPo Battery with XT90 Plug is a compact, relatively lightweight 6S battery for EDF jets, sport aircraft, helicopters and other high-performance RC models that need strong output without moving into a heavier 5000–6000mAh pack.
At approximately 145 × 44 × 44mm (L × W × H) and 578g, this battery offers a useful middle ground between lighter 3000mAh-class packs and larger high-capacity 6S batteries.
Because this is a 6S LiHV battery, a full charge reaches 26.1V. Confirm the ESC's maximum input voltage before charging above the standard 25.2V 6S LiPo limit.

4500mAh 6S LiHV: Balanced Capacity Without Excess Weight
The CNHL Lightning 4500mAh 6S LiHV is positioned between lighter 3000–4000mAh aircraft packs and larger 5000–6000mAh batteries. That makes it a useful all-round capacity when both flight time and installed mass matter.
At approximately 578g, the pack stays relatively manageable for a 4500mAh 6S battery while retaining 120C stated discharge capability and 10AWG wiring for demanding power systems.
Why Choose This Battery?
-
4500mAh capacity: Balanced middle ground between lightweight and endurance-focused 6S setups.
-
Approx. 578g weight: Keeps installed mass relatively controlled for a 4500mAh 6S pack.
-
145mm length: Compact enough for many aircraft battery bays.
-
120C continuous rating: Designed for demanding EDF, helicopter and sport-aircraft power systems.
-
XT90 connector: High-current connector used by many larger RC platforms.
-
LiHV chemistry: Supports up to 26.1V full charge when the electronics are rated for it.
4500mAh 6S Battery for the HobbyKing Turbo BushMaster V2 1830mm
The CNHL Lightning 4500mAh 6S LiHV XT90 sits comfortably inside the 3000–5000mAh 6S XT90 battery range associated with the HobbyKing / H-KING Turbo BushMaster V2 1830mm. Its 4500mAh capacity makes it a balanced choice for pilots who want more energy reserve than a 3000mAh setup without moving all the way to the heaviest end of the range.
Because this is LiHV rather than conventional LiPo, confirm full 26.1V compatibility before charging above 25.2V. After installation, verify secure retention and the aircraft's recommended 60–70mm CG range. Compare more options in the HobbyKing Turbo BushMaster V2 Battery Collection.
6S Battery Option for the Avios Spitfire Mk1a 1450mm
The 4500mAh capacity is also relevant to compatible Avios Spitfire Mk1a 1450mm setups where the battery bay, XT90 connection, installed weight and final CG suit the aircraft.
See more options in the Avios Spitfire Mk1a Battery Collection.
EDF Jet and Helicopter Applications
This battery may also suit compatible 90mm EDF jets, AlphaJet-style aircraft, Synergy E7 helicopters and other 6S platforms when the battery dimensions, weight, connector and ESC voltage limit match the specific model.
Model names alone do not establish compatibility, especially where different versions use different battery bays or power systems.
XT90 Connector
This battery uses an XT90 output connector. It connects directly only to the corresponding XT90 device-side connector with correct polarity and orientation.
Models using XT60, EC5, IC5, EC3, IC3 or another connector system require a properly rated adapter or professional connector conversion.
LiHV Charging and Maximum Voltage
This is a 6S LiHV battery. A full LiHV charge reaches 4.35V per cell, or 26.1V total.
A standard 6S LiPo reaches 4.20V per cell, or 25.2V total. Confirm the ESC manufacturer's maximum input-voltage specification before charging above 25.2V.
If full LiHV support has not been confirmed, this battery can be balance charged to the standard LiPo limit of 25.2V / 4.20V per cell.
For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target.

FAQ
Is this suitable for the HobbyKing Turbo BushMaster V2?
It is a strong capacity match because 4500mAh sits inside the aircraft's 3000–5000mAh 6S battery range and the pack uses XT90. Full LiHV voltage compatibility should still be confirmed separately.
Why choose 4500mAh instead of 3000mAh?
The 4500mAh pack carries more energy reserve, while a 3000mAh battery generally reduces installed mass. The better choice depends on the aircraft's CG and flight-style priorities.
Why choose 4500mAh instead of 5000–6000mAh?
4500mAh offers a middle ground between energy reserve and battery weight, which can be useful when a larger pack begins to affect balance or aircraft response.
Can I charge this battery only to 25.2V?
Yes. A LiHV battery can be balance charged to the standard 6S LiPo limit of 25.2V when full 26.1V LiHV voltage is not required or has not been confirmed for the electronics.
Does 120C mean the model always draws extremely high current?
No. 120C is the battery's stated continuous discharge rating. Actual current depends on the motor, ESC, propeller or EDF unit, gearing, throttle use and operating conditions.
Should this battery always be charged at 5C?
No. For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. The 5C specification is the stated maximum charge rate, not the everyday target.
Notice
- This is a 6S LiHV battery with a maximum charge voltage of 4.35V per cell.
- Use LiHV mode only when the charger and model electronics support the full 26.1V battery voltage.
- If full LiHV support has not been confirmed, charge only to the standard 25.2V / 4.20V-per-cell LiPo limit.
- Confirm the 145 × 44 × 44mm dimensions, approximately 578g weight and XT90 connector before use.
- Voltage and connector alone do not establish compatibility; battery dimensions, weight, current demand, retention and final CG must also match.
- For aircraft use, recheck center of gravity whenever battery capacity, weight or position changes.
- Secure the battery firmly and keep output and balance wires clear of propellers, EDF units, gears and sharp edges.
- Never charge unattended, and do not use a swollen, punctured, damaged or overheated battery.
- Allow the battery to cool before recharging and use storage mode when it will not be used for an extended period.
