LiPo vs LiHV for GEPRC FPV Drones

Standard LiPo remains the most common choice across GEPRC FPV aircraft because it combines strong discharge capability, predictable voltage behavior and a wide range of capacities and pack sizes.

LiHV can provide a higher nominal and fully charged voltage, and selected high-energy-density packs can be useful where capacity can be increased without an excessive weight or size penalty. However, LiHV should only be used where the aircraft power system and setup support the higher fully charged voltage.

Use a charger that specifically supports LiHV mode and do not exceed 4.35V per cell. The fact that an aircraft is labeled 6S does not by itself mean every 6S LiHV battery is automatically suitable.

XT30 vs XT60 on GEPRC FPV Batteries

Connector choice usually follows the aircraft's size and current requirements. Smaller GEPRC CineWhoops often use XT30 to reduce connector and wire weight, while larger 6S platforms typically move to XT60.

Never choose a battery only because the voltage and capacity look correct. Confirm the installed connector, polarity, cable routing and available space on the exact aircraft before connecting a new pack.
