The ISDT PD60 is a compact 60W USB-C LiPo balance charger designed for RC users who want a simple, portable charging solution without carrying a traditional DC power supply. With support for USB Power Delivery and Quick Charge input, up to 6A charging current, and support for common 1-4S RC battery chemistries, the PD60 is especially well suited to field bags, travel kits, small RC cars, aircraft, drones, and everyday bench charging.
Its two-button control system keeps setup deliberately simple, while the passive aluminum cooling structure eliminates the need for a noisy cooling fan. For pilots and drivers who mainly charge compact packs and value portability more than extreme output power, the PD60 offers a very practical balance of size, simplicity, and charging capability.

USB-C Power Input – No Traditional DC Power Supply Required
One of the biggest advantages of the PD60 is its USB-C power input. Instead of requiring a conventional RC charger power supply, the PD60 can run from a compatible USB-C source supporting USB PD 2.0/3.0 or QC 2.0/3.0.
This makes the charger especially convenient for travel or compact field setups. A suitable USB-C PD adapter can power both your everyday electronics and your RC charger, reducing the amount of equipment you need to carry.
60W Charging Power in a Pocket-Size Charger
The PD60 provides up to 60W charging power with selectable charging currents of 1A, 2A, 3A or 6A. That output level makes the charger a strong match for smaller and medium-capacity RC batteries where carrying a much larger 200W, 500W or 1000W charger would add unnecessary bulk.
For example, the PD60 is well suited to common compact 2S, 3S and 4S packs used in RC cars, park flyers, smaller aircraft, drones and other portable RC equipment. Large high-capacity packs can still be charged within the supported voltage range, but charging speed will naturally be limited by the 60W maximum output.
Simple Two-Button Operation
The PD60 intentionally avoids a complicated menu system. Its front panel combines clear LED indicators with two physical controls, making basic charging setup fast even when you are working at the field or track.
The control button is used to select the battery type and charging current, while the second button starts or stops the charging task. The indicator panel shows the selected chemistry, charging current, charging progress, completion status and error condition.
Silent Passive Cooling
Instead of relying on a conventional cooling fan, the PD60 uses its aluminum structure, honeycomb-style ventilation and internal airflow path to dissipate heat through natural convection.
The result is a compact charger with no fan noise during normal operation. This is particularly useful for home desks, indoor workbenches and travel environments where a constantly running charger fan can become distracting.
Firmware Upgrade Support
The USB-C connection is also used for firmware updating. Connecting the PD60 to a compatible computer allows charger firmware to be updated when supported updates are released, helping keep the charger software current.
Supported Battery Types
Although the PD60 is most naturally positioned as a compact LiPo charger, it supports several common rechargeable battery chemistries:
- LiPo: up to 4S
- LiHV: up to 4S
- LiFe: up to 4S
- NiMH / NiCd: up to 12 cells
This flexibility makes the PD60 useful as more than a single-purpose charger, especially for RC users who own several smaller vehicles or aircraft using different battery chemistries.

What Is the ISDT PD60 Best For?
The PD60 makes the most sense when portability and simplicity matter more than maximum charging speed. It is an excellent secondary charger for an RC field bag and can also work well as a primary charger for users whose battery collection is mostly made up of smaller 2S, 3S and 4S packs.
Users regularly charging large 6S or 8S packs should instead consider a higher-power charger, but for compact RC batteries the PD60 avoids the size, fan noise and additional DC power hardware associated with larger charging stations.

FAQ
Can the ISDT PD60 charge 4S LiPo batteries?
Yes. The PD60 supports LiPo batteries up to 4S, provided the charging setup and connector are compatible.
Does the PD60 need a separate RC power supply?
No traditional DC bench power supply is required. The PD60 uses USB-C input and supports compatible PD and QC power sources.
Will every USB-C charger provide the full 60W output?
No. Available charging power depends on the voltage and power capability negotiated with the connected USB-C power source.
Is the ISDT PD60 fan cooled?
No. The PD60 uses a passive natural-convection cooling design, helping keep operation quiet.
Can the PD60 charge LiHV and LiFe batteries?
Yes. In addition to LiPo, the PD60 supports LiHV and LiFe batteries within its supported cell-count range.
Can the PD60 firmware be updated?
Yes. The charger supports firmware updating through its USB connection.
