The ISDT X16 is a professional high-power dual-channel AC LiPo charger built for large RC battery systems that go well beyond the capability of a typical field charger. Each channel independently supports 2–16S LiPo, LiHV, LiFe and ULiHV batteries, with charging power up to 1100W per channel at 220V AC and up to 20A per channel.
For high-capacity 6S, 8S, 12S and 16S battery setups, the X16 combines two genuinely independent charging channels with synchronous parallel charging, integrated high-power AC supplies, Bluetooth app control and a 2.8-inch IPS display. It is designed for demanding RC applications where charging multiple large packs quickly and consistently matters.

Independent 1100W ×2 Dual-Channel Charging
The X16 is built around two independent charging channels rather than simply splitting one low-power source between two outputs. At 220V AC, each channel can provide up to 1100W and 20A. On 110V AC, maximum charging power is 800W per channel.
That makes the X16 particularly useful when two large packs need to be charged simultaneously. Each channel can run its own charging task, allowing different charge states or battery packs to be handled independently.

Synchronous Parallel Charging up to 1800W
When even more charging power is required for a single battery, the X16 can combine the two channels in synchronous parallel charging mode. Maximum parallel charging power reaches 1800W at 220V AC, with charging current adjustable from 21A to 35A.
This gives the X16 a second operating profile: use both channels independently for two batteries, or combine their available power when charging a particularly large high-capacity pack.

Built-In High-Power AC Supply
Unlike DC chargers that require a separate external power supply, the X16 integrates its high-power AC power system directly into the charger. Connect it to a 100–240V AC source and the charger supplies the conversion power internally.
The integrated power architecture includes short-circuit, overload, undervoltage, overvoltage and over-temperature protection. This makes the X16 especially attractive for workshop or bench charging stations where a clean all-in-one installation is preferred.

2–16S Battery Support
The X16 is designed for substantially larger battery systems than conventional 6S or 8S hobby chargers. Both channels independently support 2–16S lithium batteries through the dedicated 18-pin balance interfaces.
Supported chemistries include LiFe, LiPo, LiHV and ULiHV. ULiHV charging supports cell voltage up to 4.45V per cell, making the X16 suitable for specialized high-voltage lithium packs as well as standard LiPo systems.

2.8-Inch IPS Display
The front-mounted 2.8-inch IPS LCD provides a clear overview of both charging channels. The wide 178° viewing angle makes the screen easier to read when the charger is positioned on a workbench, pit table or charging station.
During charging, you can switch between detailed information including individual cell voltage, cell internal resistance and working parameters. Cell voltage and internal resistance readings are available during balance charging.

Bluetooth Control with ISD Link
Built-in Bluetooth allows the X16 to communicate with the ISD Link app. Charging tasks can be monitored from a compatible mobile device, detailed channel parameters can be viewed remotely, and frequently used charging tasks can be preset for faster setup.
The charger also provides a USB-C firmware upgrade port, helping keep the system software current as ISDT releases compatible firmware updates.

Built for Large High-Energy RC Battery Systems
With support extending all the way to 16S, the X16 occupies a different class from most compact RC chargers. Its combination of integrated AC power, dual independent channels and high output makes it especially suitable for larger electric aircraft, helicopters, EDF systems and other high-energy RC applications.
It can also handle ordinary lower-cell-count lithium packs, so one charging station can cover everything from conventional LiPo configurations through substantially larger 12S and 16S setups.

FAQ
Is the ISDT X16 an AC or DC charger?
The X16 is an AC-powered charger with an input range of 100–240V AC. Its high-power AC supply is built into the charger, so a separate external DC power supply is not required.
Can the ISDT X16 charge 16S LiPo batteries?
Yes. Both channels independently support LiPo, LiHV, LiFe and ULiHV batteries from 2S through 16S.
How much power does each X16 channel provide?
Maximum charging power is 1100W per channel at 220V AC and 800W per channel at 110V AC, with charging current up to 20A per channel.
Can the two X16 channels be combined?
Yes. Synchronous parallel charging combines channel capacity for up to 1800W at 220V AC and up to 35A charging current.
Does the X16 support Bluetooth?
Yes. The X16 can connect to the ISD Link mobile app via Bluetooth for monitoring, task control and compatible firmware functions.
Should I use the balance connection when charging LiPo batteries?
