Quick Fit Check
The 2 Packs CNHL 4200mAh 11.1V 3S 30C Shorty LiPo Battery with XT60 Plug set combines high 4200mAh capacity with a compact shorty-format battery body for RC airplanes, vehicles and other 3S models where a conventional full-length battery may be unnecessarily long.
Each battery measures approximately 92 × 44 × 34mm (L × W × H) and weighs approximately 271g. The 4200mAh capacity makes this pack especially useful for runtime-focused setups where the model has enough battery space and can safely carry the additional mass.
This product contains two separate 4200mAh 3S batteries. Each pack remains 11.1V and 4200mAh when used individually. The package should not be interpreted as one 8400mAh battery or as a 6S battery.

4200mAh Capacity in a Compact 92mm Shorty Pack
The main advantage of this CNHL 4200mAh 3S Shorty LiPo is its combination of relatively high capacity and compact battery length.
At only 92mm long, the pack is substantially shorter than many conventional high-capacity 3S batteries. That can make it useful in aircraft and vehicle layouts where overall battery length is the limiting dimension.
The 4200mAh capacity provides considerably more energy reserve than common 2200–3200mAh 3S packs. The tradeoff is the approximately 271g battery weight, so the model still needs sufficient tray capacity, retention strength and appropriate center of gravity.
Why Choose This 2-Pack?
-
4200mAh per battery: High energy reserve for longer flight or driving sessions.
-
92mm shorty length: Compact body compared with many full-length 3S batteries.
-
30C continuous output: Appropriate for compatible sport aircraft and moderate-current vehicle applications.
-
XT60 connector: Common connection for RC airplanes and custom vehicle setups.
-
Two independent batteries: Keep a second fully charged pack ready for the next run or flight.
-
Standard 3S LiPo chemistry: Charges to 12.6V and does not require LiHV mode.
3S Battery Option for the Avios Albatross V2
The CNHL 4200mAh 3S 30C Shorty LiPo with XT60 can be considered as a lower-voltage battery option for compatible Avios Albatross V2 setups when a softer, more scale-oriented power delivery is preferred.
The Albatross V2 is more commonly associated with a 4S power setup, so this 3S pack should not be presented as the default performance battery. Instead, it is relevant when the installed motor and ESC are approved for 3S operation and the pilot intentionally wants a more relaxed throttle response.
For scale flying, that can suit gentle cruising, lower-energy passes and a less aggressive overall power feel. The actual result still depends on propeller, motor KV, aircraft weight and ESC programming.
The 4200mAh capacity provides substantial energy reserve, while the 92mm shorty format helps keep overall pack length compact.
This product is supplied as a 2-pack, but the aircraft uses one main flight battery at a time in this type of setup. The second pack is best kept ready for another flight rather than connecting both packs together unless the aircraft's electrical system has specifically been configured for a different battery arrangement.
Compare standard 4S choices and alternative setups in the Avios Albatross V2 Battery Collection.
Compact 3S Battery for RC Airplanes
The 4200mAh capacity makes this battery particularly relevant to RC airplanes that can carry a larger energy reserve but have limited longitudinal battery-bay space.
Compared with a conventional 2200mAh 3S battery, the 4200mAh pack carries approximately 91% more rated capacity. That does not mean 91% longer flight time because the larger battery also adds weight and changes the way the aircraft must be flown.
For fixed-wing use, always evaluate the actual battery mass, battery position and final center of gravity rather than selecting capacity alone.
3S Shorty Battery for Compatible 1/10 RC Vehicles
The compact 92mm length can also make this battery useful in compatible 1/10 RC cars and trucks designed for 3S power.
However, a vehicle being described as “1/10 scale” does not establish battery compatibility. Battery tray dimensions, connector type, ESC voltage limit and retention system vary significantly between models.
Likewise, names such as Traxxas Slash, E-Revo, E-Maxx and other long-running vehicle families have appeared in multiple generations with different electrical systems. Check the specific model rather than relying on the vehicle name alone.
For surface applications, the approximately 271g battery weight can also affect chassis balance and suspension response, so additional capacity is not automatically better for every setup.

Capacity alone should not determine the choice. Larger batteries provide more stored energy but also increase installed mass, so the best pack depends on the model's available space, weight range and center-of-gravity requirements.
Two Separate 4200mAh Batteries
This listing includes two independent 4200mAh 3S batteries.
When used individually, each battery remains 11.1V, 3S and 4200mAh. Simply purchasing two packs does not create one 8400mAh battery.
Likewise, do not connect the packs in series to create 6S unless the model, ESC, motor, wiring and connector arrangement have specifically been designed for that voltage.
XT60 Connector
Each battery uses an XT60 output connector.
XT60 connects directly only to the corresponding device-side XT60 connector with the correct polarity and orientation.
XT60 is not directly compatible with EC3, IC3, EC5, IC5, T/Dean or Traxxas connector systems. Use an appropriately rated adapter or professional connector conversion where required.
Standard 3S LiPo Charging
This is a standard 3S LiPo battery. Maximum balanced charge voltage is 4.20V per cell, or 12.60V total.
Do not use a 4.35V-per-cell LiHV charging mode with this battery.
For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target.
FAQ
How many batteries are included?
The package contains two separate CNHL 4200mAh 11.1V 3S batteries.
Does two 4200mAh batteries mean this is 8400mAh?
No. Each pack is independently rated at 4200mAh. When used individually, the two-pack does not become one 8400mAh battery.
Can I connect the two packs to make 6S?
Only if the complete model is specifically designed for a series-connected 6S battery system. Do not connect two 3S packs in series simply because two batteries are supplied.
Is this suitable for the Avios Albatross V2?
It can be considered as a lower-voltage 3S option when the installed power system supports 3S operation. The more typical Albatross V2 setup is 4S, so 3S is better viewed as a softer, scale-oriented alternative rather than the default performance setup.
What are the battery dimensions?
Each battery measures approximately 92 × 44 × 34mm in L × W × H order.
Is this a standard LiPo or LiHV battery?
This is a standard 3S LiPo battery with 11.1V nominal voltage and a maximum fully charged voltage of 12.6V.
Does 30C mean it is only for low-power models?
Not necessarily. The battery's stated 30C rating must be considered together with capacity and the actual motor/ESC current demand. Compatibility should be based on the complete power system rather than the C rating alone.
Should these batteries always be charged at 5C?
No. For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. The 5C specification is the stated maximum charge rate, not the everyday target.
Notice
- This product contains two independent 4200mAh 3S batteries.
- This is a standard 3S LiPo battery with a maximum charge voltage of 4.20V per cell.
- Use a compatible LiPo balance charger and select the correct standard 3S LiPo setting.
