Quick Fit Check

The CNHL Ultra-Thin Racing Series LiHV 4600mAh 7.6V 2S 130C Shorty Hardcase Battery is designed for RC chassis where battery thickness, installed weight and battery positioning matter as much as capacity.

Its defining feature is the 18mm ultra-thin profile. At approximately 96 × 46 × 18mm (L × W × H) and only 167.5g, this pack gives racers and drift drivers more freedom to lower battery mass, adjust fore-aft placement and work around tight chassis packaging.

The battery uses a 5mm bullet hardcase interface with a 5mm Bullet to XT60 output lead, rather than a permanently attached softcase-style power cable.

CNHL Ultra-Thin Racing Series 4600mAh 7.6V 2S 130C LiHV shorty hardcase battery with 5mm bullet to XT60 lead

Only 18mm Thick: Ultra-Thin 2S Shorty Power

The main advantage of this battery is its 18mm thickness. The low-profile design creates additional vertical clearance compared with many conventional shorty hardcase packs while still providing 4600mAh capacity.

At only about 167.5g, it is particularly useful in handling-sensitive chassis where battery height, total mass and battery position are part of the tuning strategy.

Why Choose This Battery?

  • 18mm ultra-thin profile: Frees vertical chassis space and helps lower battery mass.
  • 96mm shorty format: Suitable for compact and adjustable shorty battery layouts.
  • Approx. 167.5g: Particularly attractive for lightweight chassis tuning.
  • 4600mAh capacity: Balances usable energy with low pack mass.
  • 130C continuous rating: Designed for demanding racing and drift power systems.
  • 5mm bullet interface: Modular hardcase connection for performance RC installations.
  • XT60 output lead: Convenient for XT60-equipped vehicle wiring.

Ultra-Thin 2S Shorty Battery for XRAY XB8E 2026

The CNHL Ultra-Thin 4600mAh 2S LiHV Shorty is especially relevant to the XRAY XB8E 2026 Competition 1/8 4WD electric buggy. The XB8E'26 supports a dual-shorty saddle-pack layout, and the 96mm length, 18mm profile and approximately 167.5g weight suit racers looking to keep battery mass low and centralized.

Use two matching 2S packs for the complete 4S system and verify the wiring arrangement, connector choice and final battery position for your electronics setup. Compare more options in the XRAY XB8E 2026 Battery Collection.

Lightweight Shorty Battery for the HPI Stage D10

The 4600mAh Ultra-Thin Shorty is also a strong lightweight option for the HPI Stage D10. Its low mass and 18mm thickness give drift drivers more freedom to use battery position as part of chassis-balance and transition-response tuning.

The XT60 output lead also suits XT60-based Stage D10 installations. Compare higher-capacity choices in the HPI Stage D10 Battery Collection.

Ultra-Thin 2S Battery for RC Drift Cars

The combination of 96mm shorty dimensions, 18mm thickness and approximately 167.5g weight makes this pack particularly useful for 2S drift cars where battery placement affects front-to-rear balance, rear-axle loading and chassis response.

Compact Battery for the Redcat Caprice Classic Lowrider

This 4600mAh shorty can be considered for compatible Redcat Caprice Classic RC Lowrider setups where the 96mm battery body and XT60 connection suit the vehicle. Its compact dimensions leave additional packaging room around suspension and hopping hardware.

Compare suitable options in the Redcat Caprice Classic Battery Collection.

2S Shorty LiHV for FMS FCX10 Builds

The ultra-thin format is also relevant to compatible FMS FCX10 builds where battery placement is used to tune crawler balance. The 4600mAh capacity provides substantial energy reserve, but the exact FCX10 version, battery mount, connector and LiHV voltage support should be checked first.

Explore additional options in the FMS FCX10 Battery Collection.

4600mAh Ultra-Thin vs. Higher-Capacity Shorty Battery

Priority 4600mAh Ultra-Thin Higher-Capacity Shorty
Pack Profile 18mm ultra-thin Usually thicker
Installed Weight Approx. 167.5g Usually higher
Energy Reserve Lower Higher
Main Priority Low profile and light chassis setup Runtime and more planted mass
Best Direction Drift and weight-sensitive racing Longer runs and higher-capacity setups

5mm Bullet Interface and XT60 Output Lead

This battery uses a 5mm bullet hardcase interface with a 5mm Bullet to XT60 output lead. This modular arrangement allows the external wiring to be routed around the chassis more flexibly than a permanently attached softcase lead.

Vehicles using EC3, IC3, EC5, IC5, T/Dean or another connector system require a properly rated lead, adapter or professional connector conversion.

LiHV Charging and Maximum Voltage

This is a 2S LiHV battery. A full LiHV charge reaches 4.35V per cell, or 8.70V total.

A standard 2S LiPo reaches 4.20V per cell, or 8.40V total. Do not assume that every ESC described as 2S-compatible supports the higher 8.70V LiHV maximum.

If full LiHV support has not been confirmed, this battery can be balance charged to the standard LiPo limit of 8.40V / 4.20V per cell.

For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target.

FAQ

How thin is this battery?

The pack is only 18mm thick. Its complete dimensions are approximately 96 × 46 × 18mm in L × W × H order.

Why choose an ultra-thin shorty battery?

The lower profile reduces the vertical space occupied by the battery and can provide additional freedom for chassis clearance, battery positioning and center-of-gravity tuning.

Is this suitable for the XRAY XB8E 2026?

It is a strong ultra-thin shorty option for the XB8E'26 dual-shorty saddle-pack configuration. Use two matching 2S packs for the complete 4S system.

Is this suitable for the HPI Stage D10?

It is a strong lightweight shorty option where its 96mm length, 18mm profile and XT60 output lead suit the chassis and wiring layout.

Does the battery have a permanently attached XT60 lead?

No. The hardcase uses a 5mm bullet interface with a separate 5mm Bullet to XT60 output lead.

Can I charge this battery only to 8.40V?

Yes. A LiHV pack can be balance charged to the standard 2S LiPo limit of 8.40V when full LiHV voltage is not required or has not been confirmed for the vehicle electronics.

Does 130C mean the vehicle always draws extremely high current?

No. 130C is the battery's stated continuous discharge rating. Actual current depends on the motor, ESC, gearing, boost or turbo settings, traction, vehicle weight and driving conditions.

Should this battery always be charged at 5C?

No. For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target.
