5mm Bullet Interface and XT60 Output Lead
This battery uses a 5mm bullet hardcase interface. The supplied output arrangement connects the hardcase battery to an XT60 vehicle-side connection.
This is different from a softcase battery with an XT60 cable permanently exiting the pack. The modular hardcase arrangement is useful in performance RC applications because the external wiring can be routed to suit the chassis.
If your vehicle uses EC3, IC3, EC5, IC5, T/Dean or another connector, the battery does not connect directly through XT60. Use a properly rated lead, adapter or professional connector conversion appropriate for the complete power system.
LiHV Charging and Maximum Voltage
This is a 2S LiHV battery. When fully charged in LiHV mode, the battery reaches a maximum of 4.35V per cell, or 8.70V total.
The original 4.38V value sometimes found in older battery descriptions should not be used as the charging target. 4.35V per cell is the maximum LiHV charge voltage for this pack.
Do not assume that every vehicle described as “2S compatible” supports 8.70V. Some ESCs are designed around the 8.40V maximum of a standard 2S LiPo battery.
If full LiHV compatibility has not been confirmed, this battery can be balance charged to the standard LiPo limit of 4.20V per cell, or 8.40V total.
The stated 5C value is the maximum charge rate. For routine charging, a balanced 1C charge rate is preferred when charging speed is not the priority.
