Dedicated Servo for the V2 Nose Gear Door

The Super Tucano V2 uses a servo-operated nose gear door as part of its updated landing-gear system. This dedicated 9g servo drives the door linkage so the nose gear door can open and close in coordination with the nose landing gear.

Using a dedicated actuator allows the gear-door mechanism to remain separate from the nose steering and retract functions. This helps preserve the aircraft's scale appearance while keeping the front landing-gear system mechanically organized.

• Verify the nose gear door moves freely through its full travel.
• Confirm the servo does not remain stalled at either end position.
• Cycle the landing gear several times and check door timing and clearance.

Correct linkage geometry is important. An incorrectly adjusted pushrod can prevent the door from fully closing or can overload the servo when the mechanism reaches its end position.

Nose Gear Door Servo vs Nose Steering Servo

STUPV2022N is the 9g nose gear door servo. It should not be confused with the larger nose steering servo used to control the direction of the nose wheel.
