What Does the ISDT PC-4860S Do?
The PC-4860S is a LiPo parallel charging board. It does not generate charging power or control the charge cycle by itself. Instead, it connects several compatible battery packs in parallel so that a suitable balance charger can treat the group as one larger-capacity battery of the same cell count.
For example, four compatible 4S 1500mAh LiPo batteries connected in parallel remain a 4S system, while their combined capacity becomes 6000mAh from the charger's perspective. The charger must still be configured correctly for the battery chemistry, cell count, total capacity and appropriate charge current.
This is fundamentally different from connecting batteries in series. Parallel charging keeps the cell count and nominal voltage unchanged while combining capacity.
Four XT60 Outputs for Multi-Battery Charging

What Batteries Can Be Parallel Charged?

For example, four healthy 4S LiPo packs may be candidates for a parallel charging session when they have comparable voltage and condition. A 4S battery should not be connected in parallel with a 6S battery, and batteries with substantially different states of charge should not simply be connected together to let the board equalize them.
Battery capacity does not have to become a new cell count when packs are connected in parallel. Instead, capacity is additive. When determining charge current, calculate the intended rate from the combined capacity while also respecting the lowest applicable limit in the complete charging system.
