Full-Length 2S Hardcase Design for RC Cars
The 139 × 47 × 25mm full-length hardcase offers a practical battery format for many RC cars using conventional rectangular battery trays. Its approximately 287.5g weight can suit applications where drivers want useful runtime without moving to a substantially larger battery pack.
The rigid outer case helps protect the internal cells against everyday abrasion and incidental contact inside a properly secured battery compartment. Unlike a shorter racing Shorty pack, this battery is intended for chassis that accommodate its full-length footprint.
Why Choose This Battery?
-
5200mAh capacity: A practical balance between energy storage, weight and installation size for 2S RC driving.
-
100C continuous / 200C burst rating: Specified for demanding brushless RC power systems.
-
Full-length hardcase: Provides physical protection for compatible RC car battery compartments.
-
25mm case height: A relatively slim hardcase profile for chassis with suitable battery clearance.
-
EC5 connector: Supports compatible EC5 and IC5 main power connections without requiring an adapter.
-
12AWG power wires: Heavy-gauge leads for the battery's intended RC applications.
-
Standard 2S LiPo: Compatible with conventional 8.4V maximum LiPo balance charging.
2S Battery for 1/10 RC Touring and Drift Cars
This 5200mAh 2S hardcase LiPo is a relevant option for 1/10 touring cars and RC drift platforms that accept full-length 139mm battery packs. Its 25mm height may be useful in lower-profile chassis, while the 5200mAh capacity offers flexibility for practice sessions and recreational driving.
Check battery tray width, hold-down clearance, connector type and weight distribution before use. Explore the RC Touring Car Batteries Collection for additional choices.
2S LiPo Battery for Losi Promoto MX and SM – Tested Fit
The CNHL Racing Series 5200mAh 2S 100C Hard Case LiPo Battery with EC5 Plug is a tested fit for the Losi Promoto MX and Promoto SM. Its 7.4V 2S configuration matches the motorcycles' power requirements, while the EC5 connector is compatible with their IC5 main power connection.
With its 139 × 47 × 25mm hardcase design, this battery has been physically tested for fitment in the Losi Promoto platform, providing a practical 5200mAh power option without connector modification. Explore more compatible options in the Losi Promoto MX and SM Battery Collection.
EC5 and IC5 Connector Compatibility
EC5 and IC5 are physically compatible for the main positive and negative power connection. This allows the CNHL EC5 battery to connect to a corresponding IC5-equipped RC model when polarity, voltage, battery dimensions and system requirements are correct.
This conventional CNHL LiPo battery does not provide Spektrum Smart battery identification, data communication or Smart telemetry. For vehicles with XT60, T/Dean or Tamiya connectors, a suitable connector conversion is required. Always consider current rating, polarity and cable clearance when selecting adapters.
Standard 2S LiPo Charging and Storage
This is a standard 7.4V 2S LiPo battery, not a LiHV battery. Use a compatible balance charger set to 2S LiPo, with a maximum charge voltage of 4.20V per cell, or 8.4V total.
For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target. For this 5200mAh battery, 1C equals 5.2A. Use the JST-XH balance connector and a suitable EC5 charging lead.
Do not charge in 4.35V-per-cell LiHV mode. Allow the pack to cool before charging, never charge unattended, and use a suitable storage program when the battery will remain unused for an extended period.

FAQ
Is this a full-length or Shorty 2S LiPo battery?
This is a full-length hardcase pack measuring 139 × 47 × 25mm. It is not a compact Shorty battery. Confirm your vehicle's battery tray dimensions before ordering.
Can I use this battery in a 1/10 RC touring or drift car?
Yes, if the vehicle supports standard 2S LiPo power and has sufficient space for the full-length hardcase, EC5 connection and battery leads. Actual compatibility depends on the chassis and electronics.
Will the EC5 connector work with Spektrum IC5?
Yes. EC5 and IC5 support compatible main power connections. However, this CNHL battery does not provide Spektrum Smart battery data or communication features.
Does this battery fit the Losi Promoto MX and SM?
Yes. This CNHL 5200mAh 2S hardcase battery has been test-fitted in the Losi Promoto platform. Its EC5 connector is compatible with the stock IC5 main power connection, making it a convenient battery option for compatible Promoto MX and SM setups.
Does the 100C rating mean the car will always draw more power?
No. The 100C value is the battery's stated continuous discharge rating, not the vehicle's actual operating current. Power demand depends on the ESC, motor, gearing, traction and driving conditions.
Can two 2S batteries be connected in series for 4S power?
Yes, if the complete system is designed for 4S operation and the batteries are correctly matched. Two identical 5200mAh 2S packs connected in series provide 14.8V nominal, or 16.8V fully charged, while capacity remains 5200mAh. Use appropriate series wiring and matched packs with closely balanced cell voltages.
Should I charge this battery at 5C?
For routine charging, a balanced 1C rate is preferred. 5C is the stated maximum, not the everyday target. At 1C, the charging current is 5.2A.
