CNHL will bring you the relevant content of lithium batteries today. The article will start from three parts: 3S, 4S lithium battery packs, lithium battery capacity and lithium battery discharge rating to help you get a preliminary understanding of lithium batteries.
Lithium battery packs consist of many lithium cells connected in series, and this number represents that. If a lithium battery pack is listed as a 3S lithium battery pack, then it has three separate lithium cells in series within the lithium battery pack, each with a nominal voltage of 3.7 volts. The total voltage of the lithium battery pack is then listed as 11.1 volts. A 4S Lithium battery pack has a voltage of 14.8 volts etc (four Lithium cells x 3.7 volts = 14.8 volts)
The capacity rating of a lithium battery indicates the amount of power it outputs, or the length of time it takes to draw power from a lithium battery at a given rate before it reaches the cutoff voltage or discharges. The faster you get power from a lithium battery, the less time it will last. Many times, our lithium battery capacities are listed in milliampere-hours (mAh) instead of amp-hours (Ah). This is just metric converted to smaller units, 1 amp hour = 1,000 milliamp hours, so 2.2 Ah is 2,200 mAh.
"C" represents the rate at which a lithium battery can be discharged relative to its maximum capacity. If the lithium battery is discharged at a rate higher than the discharge rating, the lithium battery may be damaged, or worse, it may cause a safety hazard such as a fire. If a lithium battery has a discharge rating of 15C, that means the maximum power that can be drawn from it at one time is equal to 15 times its capacity. Using the example of a lithium battery with a capacity of 2,200 mAh, this means that the maximum current you can safely get from a lithium battery is 15 x 2,200 = 33,000 milliamps (or 33 amps).
The discharge ratings listed on the lithium battery label are based on what the manufacturer believes the lithium battery pack can handle during discharge without degrading the performance of the lithium battery pack. These discharge ratings, sometimes incorrectly referred to as C ratings. Lithium battery packs with higher discharge rates have lower internal resistance (IR), which is a good thing. Many lithium batteries offer two discharge ratings, such as 30C/60C. These represent continuity and burst levels.
The first number means it will support 30C discharge continuously, and for short pulses (usually less than 15 seconds) it should support 60C. This allows for up to 60C during a quick throttle change, but shouldn't be something you use very often. If you need higher current levels, buy a higher capacity lithium battery pack with a higher C rating.
CNHL has been committed to providing customers with more cost-effective and superior discharge rate 30C continuous lithium batteries. If you need to buy 30C continuous lithium battery with discharge rate please contact us.
The above is all about the lithium battery today, 3S, 4S represent composed of 3\4 lithium batteries in series; the capacity rating of the lithium battery indicates its output power, or obtains power from the lithium battery at a given rate before the lithium battery The length of time it takes to reach the cut-off voltage or discharge; a lithium battery discharge rating "C" indicates the rate at which a lithium battery can be discharged relative to its maximum capacity.
I hope the above content is helpful to you, more information will be continuously updated, see you in the next issue.
