Recommended 4S LiPo batteries for the L39 Albatros
- CNHL MiniStar 1800mAh 14.8V 4S 120C (Max 200C) — Ideal for high-energy tosses and fast low passes. Keeps the jet light and agile while maintaining solid punch.
- CNHL Black Series 2000mAh 14.8V 4S 100C — Balanced power and duration; fits easily and keeps the CG right on point.
- 2 Packs CNHL G+Plus 2200mAh 14.8V 4S 70C — Best for relaxed pattern or formation flights. Adds endurance without losing control authority.
Real-world fit and handling notes
Most pilots seat the pack flat with the leads forward, checking CG at about 49mm from the leading edge. The l-39 albatros airframe is quite forgiving, but correct balance helps smooth out landings and keeps AS3X or SAFE stabilization working properly.
Field-tested impressions
Even under rough wind, the model tracks well once trimmed. Pilots have noted the MiniStar’s voltage hold and the Black Series’ consistency across packs. If you’re flying from grass, the slightly lighter 1800mAh gives a cleaner hand launch and shorter roll-out.
